Information
Kuala Lumpur Deer Park
The Kuala Lumpur Deer Park is a 2 hectare enclosure, located in the undulating slopes and valley of Kuala Lumpur Lake Gardens.
Kuala Lumpur Deer Park is home to a variety of local deer. Besides getting up close and personal with the deer, petting and feeding them, visitors can enjoy the park’s lush greenery, with pretty ponds, and cool atmosphere.
Besides the extremely small mouse deer, also known as the kancil (which is no bigger than a common house cat), other deer species at the park include the fallow deer (imported from Holland), axis deer and sambar deer.
A short distance from the KL Bird Park, entrance to the Kuala Lumpur Deer Park is free. It truly merits a visit, especially if you are already in the Lake Gardens visiting the KL Bird Park, National Monument, Orchid & Hibiscus Gardens, Malaysian Houses of Parliament, Tun Abdul Razak Memorial and Butterfly Park.
Rapid KL B101 or B112 runs a route past the Dayabumi Complex: from here it is a short walk to the KL Deer Park. Alternatively, a more convenient way of reaching the park is by taking the KL Hop-On-Hop-Off bus: you can get off at the Tun Abdul Razak Memorial and from here it is a short stroll to the park.
