Sungai Tekala Forest Park

Established since 1982, Hutan Lipur Sungai Tekala (Sungai Tekala Recreational Park) is located in Hulu Langat. The recreation park is one of the few nature hideouts developed into a lovely camp cum picnic site, perfect for short afternoons or weekend gateways. The crystal clear waters of the shallow Sungai Tekala is ideal for bathing and there are basic changing facilities available for the convenience of visitors. The higher levels of the river lead up to a sparkling waterfall which cascade into a natural rock pool. Other facilities such as rest huts which make pleasant shelters from the hot sun and benches for you to rest are available.

A breathtaking waterfall and a river with crystal clear water are the main attractions here for visitors who come to picnic in this recreational park. There are also many trails that are ideal for those who love nature trekking where they can discover different forest types and tree species.

13 km from Semenyih via Jalan Semenyih – Hulu Langat and 50 km from Kuala Lumpur, Hutan Lipur Sungai Tekala (Sungai Tekala Recreational Park) is located in Sungai Lalang Reserve Forest which is part of the State Forest Park, also known as the Taman Warisan Negeri Selangor (Selangor State Heritage Park). This is a lowland dipterocarp forest.
